ThaiLoveLines is a reasonably popular Thai dating site. It’s a good place for Western men to find Thai girls to chat to online. It’s also a great place to sign up to if you want some female company while you’re in Thailand.
Most of the women on the site will be seeking husbands, so if you’re marriage minded then you’ll have plenty of women who will be interested in you.
ThaiLoveLines has been going a long time. It’s biggest rival is the similarly named ThaiLoveLinks. Don’t get the two sites confused – they’re not the same!
I guess there’s not much to choose between ThaiLoveLines and ThaiLoveLinks. I like the Love Links site in that it has a fabulous search facility and a vast membership base. On the downside I’ve encountered plenty of scammers on the Cupid sites like ThaiLoveLinks, so you really have to keep your wits about you when using these Asian contacts sites.
There are some very cute girls on ThaiLoveLines. I’m currently seeking a wife from China, but there are plenty of Thai girls who catch my eye from time to time.
From the search results I got on ThaiLoveLines, I’d guess there are 54,035 Thai women living in Thailand who have profiles on ThaiLoveLines. Of course not all will have active profiles on the site.
It’s generally better to chat to women who sign into the site fairly frequently. However, at the same time if a girl spends all day and night chatting on ThaiLoveLines then you can be reasonably sure that she’s probably making a living from getting guys to send her money.
As for the site’s features – there are the usual search facilities plus the ability to store your favorite ladies. I find it’s best to shortlist your favorites, then bring the list down to 3-4 ladies who you think are worth visiting in Thailand. Of course if you’re already living in Thailand or you’ve retired there then ThaiLoveLines is a great place to meet a new girl every day!
Date Thai Girls in Your Country
ThaiLoveLines is also a good place to find Thai women in your own country. I counted 149 Thai women living in the UK, 447 in the USA, 167 in Australia and 47 in Canada.
Often these women are former mail order brides who have been widowed or they divorced their husbands. Be careful when dating these women – I’ve always been a bit wary of the Chinese women living in the UK and haven’t met any of them I’ve had emails from. But if you think you can trust them, then even if you don’t date them they can make useful friends who can help you learn about Thailand and its people.
Alternatives to ThaiLoveLines
There are a lot of Thailand dating sites, so here’s a couple of others worth considering:
ThaiLoveLinks
I guess ThaiLoveLines is always going to be second best to ThaiLoveLinks. ThaiLoveLinks is a vastly bigger site, with more women and more features.
I guess the LoveLines/LoveLinks situation is much like I faced with my own search for Chinese women to meet online. The biggest Chinese dating site is Chinese Love Links. I also joined one of the smaller sites – China Love Match.
I actually found that many of the China Love Match girls also had profiles on Chinese Love Links. So I’m not sure I needed to be a member of both sites. However, the quality of woman on China Love Match was very high indeed.
It’s also worth setting up a profile on a few Asian dating sites, especially if you want to visit a smaller Thai city that doesn’t have so many ladies on dating sites.
DateInAsia
This site is massively popular, largely because it’s completely free for both men and women!
Before you get too excited, let me tell you that free dating sites aren’t such good places to meet good girls. Particular hazards you’ll face if you want to meet Thai women on DateInAsia are scammers, ladyboys and crazy women…
Scammers are very numerous, and increasing numbers of bar girls and freelancers will supplement their income by getting foolish men to send them money.
Many men like ladyboys, but if you don’t then it’s a real nuisance to fall in love with a beautiful girl you’ve seen on DateInAsia, only to find out she’s not as womanly as you first thought. And make no mistake – ladyboys are quite hard to spot on DateInAsia, particularly as members can only upload a single photo of themselves.
Finally I tried to find some Chinese women to visit in person, but every woman I emailed on DateInAsia turned out to be totally crazy. What a gigantic waste of time this site was!
So it’s been my experience that if you want to meet decent Asian women (particularly if you’re marriage minded) then there really isn’t much of an alternative to using a pay site like ThaiLoveLines.
So ThaiLoveLines is worth a look, especially if you want to find some Thai girls to meet on your next visit to Thailand.
